Get ready to elevate your BBQ experience with these easy and irresistible ribs! They are slow-cooked to fall-off-the-bone, and are finished with a mouthwatering caramelized BBQ sauce.

Prep Time: 20 mins | Total Time: 3 1/2 hours | Serves: 4-6

Ingredients

  • 1-2 racks of pork ribs

Instructions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 295 ºF (146 ºC) degrees.

Step 2

Clean the ribs and remove any extra fat. Carefully remove as much of the thin layer of skin on the back of the ribs as you can - this can get tough while the ribs cook.

Step 3

Lay the ribs flat in a large roasting pan with the meaty side facing up. Rub the ribs with a good amount of salt and pepper on both sides. Cover the pan tightly with tin foil. Creating a tight seal will ensure that ribs are juicy and soft.

Step 4

Cook the ribs for 2 and 1⁄2 hours. Once cooked, gently and carefully remove the tin foil - there will be a lot of steam and it will be HOT! Check to see whether the ribs are soft and close to falling off the bone. If they seem sufficiently cooked, move on to the next step. If they need additional cooking, reseal the tin foil, and return them to the oven for another 15-30 minutes.

Step 5

Once cooked, turn on the broiler to high and baste the ribs in your favorite BBQ Sauce. Place the ribs under the broiler and broil them for 3-4 minutes. Repeat this process at least one to two times. When the sauce is sticky remove the ribs and then baste them one last time with BBQ Sauce and allow to rest.

Step 6

Serve warm with sides such as my Corn and Black Bean Salad and my Sour Cream and Dill Potato Salad.
