Start your day with a delightful twist on traditional breakfast with Quinoa Apple Breakfast Cereal. This surprisingly delicious dish combines nutty quinoa with sweet, tender apples, creating a warm and comforting bowl that's both nutritious and satisfying.

Ingredients
1 cup uncooked quinoa
2 cups water
2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and cubed.
1 tablespoon butter, unsalted
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, optional
Instructions
Step 1
Add quinoa and water to medium saucepan and bring to boil over medium-high heat; boil 1 minute. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes. When quinoa is cooked, remove from heat and fluff with fork. set aside
Step 2
In a skillet, add butter and apples. Let it cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they begin to soften.
Step 3
Sprinkle the brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, and if you want you can add a touch of nutmeg. Stir to make sure that the apples are coated evenly. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the sauce has thickened.
Step 4
Fold the apples into the quinoa and divide among 6 bowls, about 2/3 of a cup each.
