Marinara Sauce

Get ready for a bold marinara that’s as rich in flavor as it is in color! Slow-simmered San Marzano tomatoes, a splash of balsamic for depth, and fresh basil bring it all together. Simple, honest, and perfect for pasta, pizza, or mopping up with crusty bread – this is a proper Italian classic done right!

Ingredients


  • 1 teaspoon olive oil


  • 1 teaspoon oregano


  • 1 teaspoon basil


  • 1 teaspoon salt


  • 1 teaspoon pepper


  • 1 tablespoon sugar


  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar



Instructions


Step 1


Warm Olive Oil in a large lidded pot. Once fragrant add tomatoes with juice and bring to a boil.


Step 2


Add spices, sugar and vinegar and stir. Bring back to a boil and then allow to simmer for 20 minutes.


Step 3


Using an immersion blender puree sauce. Bring back to a simmer for another 10 minutes.
