Banana, Walnut Brownies

These banana walnut brownies are an absolute game-changer! Packed with gooey chocolate goodness, naturally sweet bananas, and a nutty crunch, they’re the ultimate feel-good treat. Perfect for tea time, dessert, or when that chocolate craving hits hard.

Ingredients

Wet Ingredients


  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, or gluten-free flour blend

  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Mix-ins & Topping

  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips, for added richness


Instructions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it.


Step 2

In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. Add eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well.


Step 3

In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

Step 4

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.

Fold in the chopped walnuts and chocolate chips.


Step 5

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.


Step 6

Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
